A research chair on the theme of change
Change is at the heart of the concerns of both companies and society in general. The rhetoric of business leaders and the programs of politicians regulary use the word change to express the notions of projects, progress and innovation.
The concept of change is easily understood by its goal of transformation. On a contrary, the mechanisms and processes allowing successful change are more difficult to understand.
The ESSEC Chair of Change Management aims to understand the phenomenon and mechanisms of change in different social and economical environments. The ESSEC Chair of Change Management aims to be a research Chair on the theme of change in companies, administrations, and society in general.
This ambition is obtained through research programs, as well as studies led by research teams. The considered themes are the following: the capacity for change of an organization, behaviors towards change, change-related training, change and well-being, change as a factor for the learning company, etc.
Those research programs, carried-out together with our partners, produce publications and communications aimed at enriching the concepts, methods, and tools of Change Management.
The Chair aims to be at the same time an motor for research production and a forum of exchange and practises between partners.
